What do the new lockdown measures mean for you and your property move?
Following the recent government announcement, we would like to reassure you that the property market remains open and we're still here to help with all of your property needs.
Every area of the UK has been branded either medium, high or very high risk, but at present, this will not affect your move. We understand that you may have queries or concerns at this time and we will do all we can to answer them.
Our customers living in Tier 1 medium risk areas:
Fewer than 100 cases per 100,000 population
Those parts of the country sitting under Tier 1 still adhere to the restrictions that are currently in place, including mandatory face coverings, the rule of six and 10pm pub curfew. Your house move will not be affected. If you’re visiting your local branch, do ensure to call ahead to make an appointment. We will request details for track and trace purposes. You can learn more about Tier 1 restrictions here.
Our customers living in Tier 2 high-risk areas:
Cases above 100 per 100,000
Those of you living in areas under Tier 2 will no longer be able to mix with other households indoors. Our branches will remain open and you’ll be able to call ahead to make an appointment to see us. We will still be available over the phone and on email, as usual. We require that you check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app and we will request details for track and trace purposes.
Our customers living in Tier 3 very high-risk areas:
Significantly higher levels of transmission
From Wednesday, Tier 3 restrictions will be introduced in areas with a ‘very high’ coronavirus risk. Businesses, including hospitality venues, gyms and leisure centres, will be forced to close. At this time, most of our branches will remain open. We are paying especially close attention to government guidance in these areas. You will not be able to visit our branches, unless a prior appointment is made. As in all tiers, we require that you check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app and we will request details for track and trace purposes.
At present, let us reassure you that the housing market is moving apace despite the restrictions caused by COVID-19. We have found new ways to continue with property sales whilst adhering to and adjusting to these new government rules.
